I’m Gabriel Tavares, and this is my journey.

I was born in São Paulo and live in Santo André. Curiosity led me to teach myself programming, and learning how things work eventually became my profession.

My path took me through customer support and QA at NetPOS before moving into development. That experience taught me to see software through the eyes of the people using it. Today, I am a Software Engineer II at PagBank, working across the stack.

I enjoy building simple, thoughtful interfaces with clear code and attention to detail. Learning from the team, sharing discoveries, and solving problems together are part of how I work.

Away from code, I enjoy going to the gym, walking my dog in the park, and riding my bike.
